English Trailer for the Live Action Movie of "Blood the Last Vampire"

I've been keeping an eye on this for quite some time now. The Anime turned live action movie comes out May 29th in Japan, June 12th in the UK and June 17th on France. Sadly, there's no U.S. release as of now.

It looks to be effects heavy like the original Anime. The story was co-written by Production IG's Kenji Kamiyama, the original studio behind the animated feature.

Mine too. I just hope this one doesn't follow the current trend of bad anime-to-live-action films...Dragonball and perhaps Akira and Avatar.

I don't see any need to make awesome anime into live action. Its usually just lame if anything i would like see it done all in 3d like the final fantasy advent children movie.

I LOVE the anime, but I'm excited for this. Been following this for a while and it's getting closer to release in the US now! Can't wait to see Jun Ji Hyun (Blood) on the US big screen! I pray it doesn't disappoint.

As much as I like Advent Children too, in my opinion this might not look as good as a full CGI movie. Apart from us who've seen the Anime, Blood the Last Vampire is a completely new film for the rest of the movie going audience. So a serious CG animated film (CG aimed at adults) could be a risk for the producers that they might not want to take at the moment...especially during these rough times.

I hope we don't have to wait too long for it though. It should be a lot of fun. From the looks of it, they didn't skimp out and made this into a PG rated movie. The Anime was rated R for violence so I'm glad the live action looks to be like it as well.

Well here's the latest news on this Film. It has been repported at Twitch that the film was submitted to the MPAA by Samuel Golden Films and it has retained it's rated "R" rating for "strong stylized violence."

But still no release date yet.
