This image is really nice,mental mill SE is a complete visual development environment that allows users to quickly assemble complex shader graphs. It includes powerful debugging capabilities and shader authoring features for the MetaSL™ shading language.A Material Definition has predefined material components to which the user can link a shader node or an entire shader graph.

Cool

Just what I need in my shader work! ( if it does live up to my expectations). Always found it a bit hard to work without proper eye reference when configuring shaders in Maya..

How hard is it to learn Maya hulahuga? It's always looked quite complex to me, but I know some of the work produced with it can be stunning

Well if you look at the 3dArtist magazine they said that it was a bit harder to learn than 3dsMax actually... But then Maya is more used to achieve film quality...

It's harder than max, wow........... I found max really hard to get to grips with aswell. Hmmmm maybe it's not for me then . I like software that you can learn quite quickly and more importantly has really good viewport layouts like Modo & Cinema 4D.
