I think the idea of this will be great, but realisticly it's going to be some time before your average gamer could afford this kind of setup. Granted if you have a PS3/Xbox 360 and a HD TV you are probably enjoying the many benefits of the current technology, but then what are you going to do, throw away your HDTV or put it in the spare room just because 3DTV is hot property. And what about the individuals that would love this but have neither a games system of 3DTV.....that's a hell of a heafty price tig just to enjoy your games and television in 3D!

Just my 2 cents.

Just because it is playable in 3d doesn't mean all functions will be for that technology...
That would just be plain stupid for their sales.... Even though 3D in an action game like that sounds FRIGGING AWESOME!!!!

Personally, I think 3D will work a lot better in the console game world than it will in the movie world.
The 3D in gaming will at least be able to be customiseable so you can make the effect stronger.

I'm there at the cinema watching a 3D film in Real D, and can't help but feel that the effect is only just coming out of the screen or into it. My eyes can handle a lot more than that.

The weird thing is, Imax 3D films that are made for Imax especially have the 3D effects coming right up to the eyes, yet I also watched Avatar in 3D at Imax that was made for cinema use, and not Imax especially, and the 3D effect was again minimal at best...

Anyone else feel this when they see a 3D film?
Anyone seen any Imax 3D specials to know what I mean by the close up feeling you get? Beats the cinema if a film is specifically made for it.

That is what the cinema needs also, and I'm sure it isn't just the size of the screen making a difference, because of how Avatar in 3D looked no different on both formats.

Well personally the 3d feature isn't just things popping out of the screen. It is giving a depth to the image... enhancing the immersion...
Of course the 3d effects in games or films can be off the charts as well
