Looks nice in stills, but, in motion, the whole thing feels cheap. The camera work is off. The lip sync is loose. The rendering is very 1990s. Almost like a fan thing made in many ways. Makes me miss the old "Garfield & Friends" series from the 80s even more.

I know a lot of people worked hard on this, but it doesn't, imo, do the characters much justice.

Also not digging Frank Welker as Garfield, as opposed to the now deceased Lorenzo Music. I guess after so many years of hearing Music's Garfield, which seemed to be very Bill Murray-ish, I can't imagine anybody else.

I couldn't agree more, visually is verynice and very pretty, the stylisation of Garfield is very close to the original style created by Jim Davis. And the humour also seems to be there, but as acrobatfly has mentioned the animation is lazy and quite poor. The voice by Frank Welker is nowhere near as good as Lorenzo's which is a shame as Frank's vocal talents are far and wide such as Megatron from Transformers and Uni from Dungeons & Dragons to name two

I miss the Garfield and friends series, especially the Orson's Farm section.

It seems to be the new trend to try a kickstart and old franchise back into action with the current technology, possiblly because 3D cartoons are cheaper to make than traditionally animated ones....but i'm not sure.

Shame really
