Yep, you're right. I've got an update coming which will be a nice improvement I think.

Improved the texture some more and since I had some spare polygons I added a load of barnacles on the hull
Started thinking about how I'm going to present it too. Anyone know the rules about pedestals?

I want to add some water trails as a separate mesh and texture. Would that be allowed (I've added them for illustration purposes)?

Anyway, as its the final day, I'd love to hear some feedback about the lighting, texturing, pedestal and anything else that you can think of.

looks good.
I think of scratches and weathered edges for textures.
and maybe some bloom

That is a cool vehicle I'd like to see a more dramatic lighting setup with coloured lights. It's a bit pale and bland at the moment.

Also a nice view from beneath will make the vehicle look bigger.

Thanks for the feedback. Adding some more weathing to the texture right now.

As for the lighting I agree. Its one of the things I'm not too comfortable with. It always ends up looking weird, too saturated etc. Anyway I'll definitely work oon that.

Final entry. Thanks for all the feedback. This was a fun challenge. I ended up with a more simple entry because I couldn't make it look as good as I wanted and I ran out of time.

Anyway, best of luck to all who participated.
