Xbox 360S Final (now with free model download link)

DOWNLOAD LINK FOR MODEL:

Here is the file in several formats. We have the standard modo lxo, a obj, an fbx and a lwo.
Depending on the application, you may find some will open better than others.
Included is the 360s model, and the controller.
Just throw on a turbosmooth/subdivision modifer and you should be good to go to have a look at how I built this beast.
Turn on wireframe mode; Do whatever the hell you want

You may find a few 5 sided polygons. For some reason, I found modo capable of handling them in curves better than it handled quads in them, for whatever reason (eject button for example)

I didn't include texture files, or specific material settings. Feel free to go add your own materials though. Just obviously, all I ask of you is to not pass the model off as your own.

It is given as is, for model guidance

Not sure it'll be of any help, but here you go. Sizes of files differ so check useage before downloading:

Please enjoy! Comment if you find it useful

Hey all, long journey for sure...
Thanks for all the support throughout the process

This concludes the project for me. I will post up a finished model for everyone to have a spin around of. Just thinking of the best way to go about it.

For now though, render time!

See the spin here:

Of course, you can still see the WIP here:

Thanks, though if you open up the Youtube link, it shows the software used and displays some wireframes
I may throw up some images. Its all Modo, and Photoshop for final tweaking.

I plan to throw up the final model too, so you can give it a spin if you have the right software

In a studio environment, it probably does.
The material does in fact have a lot of reflection scattering due to the texture on it.
It all depends on the lighting.

The model looks nice enough, my issue is with the backdrop, theres lots of stepping in the gradients which detract from the image, the shadows look a little strange too.

I used so many lightboxes, I lost count, so shadows are probably scattered quite a bit. The shadows haven't been modified though.
The stepping, I have no idea how it happened. Even the PNG's have stepping, so I don't know if this is something in the render I needed to fix or the output?

The model is what matters in the end for this project. It took me the most time out of any I've done.

What format should I upload it in? The original Modo, and possibly a default model format or something?

I've sometimes noticed stepping in my own images when I've pushed things too far in Photoshop, too many levels adjustments perhaps, I think working in 32 bit colour space can help.

I generally save files from modo in exr format, in Photoshop you are kind of limited with what you can do so I will convert the image to 16 bit to open up more options, if this is a correct workflow I'm not sure.

I didn't save out as an exr which may have helped actually. Not sure if PNG was the best option after all. Thanks for the honest help denironaut

It is given as is, for model guidance. If you wish to donate any money if it has really helped, you are free to. Not sure how this affects the site rules, so I haven't included a way to do this until it is allowed. When I get permission, I could send you the link through PM or something. Not expecting anything mind you!

Not sure it'll be of any help, but here you go. Sizes of files differ so check useage before downloading:
